About the Browns

Based in Cleveland, Ohio, they are currently a member of American Football Conference's (AFC) North Division in the NFL. The Bengals currently conduct summer training camp at Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky and play home games at Paul Brown Stadium in Downtown Cincinnati.

FACT:  The team started in 1946 and was a charter member of the All-American Football Conference (AAFC).  The AAFC had folded and in 1950, the Cleveland Browns join the NFL.

FACT:  Cleveland browns have won a total of eight league championships in it's history. They had won four AAFC titles, including a 15 win and 0 lose record in 1948 and after joining the NFL, had won four additional championships. This was before the merger with the American Football League (AFL) in 1970.

FACT:  After the merger, the Browns were one of three NFL teams which joined the ten former AFL teams to form the new American Football Conference. The Browns have not played in a league championship game since the merger, despite having the sixth-highest winning percentage of all franchises in the NFL. However, They have competed for the AFC Championship three times
