Adele has become a major name on the American charts and her concerts have become so popular as they were when she played in the UK. Although when Adele Adkins first started out, the music press labeled her "the next Amy Winehouse." To be seen as a soulful young singer with great song writting ability, it certainly could be viewed as an accurate label. She does have her own instictive sound as style as well. Listening to tracks like "Rolling in the Deep" gives a sense of how powerful this songstress can sound.

Although in early 2011, Adele Adkins had to cancel some of her tour dates because of laryngitis, she is back on the road! In her early performances she spent her 19th year on stage, touring with her first LP which was appropriately named after her age. Since her debut a few years ago, she has appriated Nashville's musical influences from artists such as Wanda Jackson. Adele traveled throughout the south during her last tour in America, and gained steady exposure to the country and gospel stylings of the region.  Now that she's spent time with those influences in the studio, she's bringing her music across the country.  Expect to pickup on those influences when she tours with her most recent album 21.  Adele Concert Tickets 2011 on tour are on sale now.

About Adele

Adele Adkins has seen a meteoric rise in popularity since she began singing professionally in 2007. After signing for XL Records, she released her first single "Hometown Glory," which gained her a large following in the UK. The following year she released another popular single "Chasing Pavements." A week later Adele released her first album 19. The album quickly topped the charts at home, but took longer to gain recognition in the United States. However, after an appearance on Saturday Night Live, 19 rose into the top 20. Having gained a new large fanbase, Adele embarked on a U.S. tour shortly afterward.

In 2009, Adele was recognized for her efforts after she won Grammy Awards for Best New Artist, as well as Best Female Vocal Performance for "Chasing Pavements." After Adele's tour ended, she began work on her next album. The first sense of that effort came in the form of two singles. The first was the blues-gospel song "Rolling in the Deep," which became Adele's first number one single in the United States, and her best selling single to date. The second was "Someone Like You," a song reflective of a previous relationship, which reached number one in the UK. Both songs further cemented Adele's status among fans.

21
was released in January 2011 to great fanfare and overwhelming praise by critics, and the album reached number one in numerous countries. Adele went on tour in support of the album during the spring and summer of that year.
